Australian Lions Hearing Dogs are so excited to be celebrating our 3rd annual National Hearing Dog Day in 2024.
The first concept of Hearing Dog Day came about after our first Hearing Dog ‘Amber’ was delivered to a local Adelaide lady on the 19th of April in 1982. Thus being the perfect date to celebrate all things Hearing Dogs.
For over 40 years on and counting, we have delivered over 690 Hearing Assistance Dogs all across the country to Australians who are deaf or hard of hearing. With the support of Lions Clubs across Australia, we have been providing trained Hearing Dogs free of charge since 1982
