CEO Update

May is here and it is hard to believe we are already halfway through the year. The past couple of months have been a whirlwind, and we have already met many of the goals that we set out to achieve this year. Our incredible team continues to work hard to place more Assistance Dogs and to keep kicking goals.

With National Hearing Dog Day and Open Day complete, which you can read more about in this edition, we have turned our attention to other upcoming events and projects, keep an eye out on future editions for more information.

Our Breeding Centre’s most recent resident, first time mum Mollie, welcomed a litter of 11 little labradoodles who have an amazing future ahead of them. Mollie has had all of the support she needs in helping her babies grow and develop with them now reaching six weeks and meeting all of the milestones along the way.

On top of that, the redevelopment of our Training Centre has been officially approved by local Council. This means that we can finally move forward with this long-term project with an aim to break ground in 2025. Until then, to support the growth of the program we are utilising new initiatives, such as our Bed and Breakfast program, to mitigate the restrictions set by our current facility capacity.

This month, we will have a large presence in Darwin at the 72nd MD Convention and soon after at the Lions International Convention in Melbourne. If you are attending either, please stop by our stands and say hello.

Until next time, enjoy the amazing autumn weather.
