CEO Update

2024 marked a new phase in ALHD’s growth, and 2025 will showcase the results of our hard work. Our Psychiatric Assistance Dog program is off to a strong start, with an incredible group of trainee dogs currently in training to support returned servicemen and women with PTSD.

The start of 2025 also brought an exciting additions to our team—a litter of nine labradoodles! These future Assistance Dogs are currently being raised in our Breeding Centre with the care and dedication of our expert breeding team. And soon, we will be seeing them progress into the Puppy Program. Meanwhile, our Trainers are hard at work, overseeing 20 dogs in training, with plenty of deliveries on the go, and more dogs joining the training program in the coming months.

As April approaches, we’re gearing up for a busy and exciting month. National Hearing Dog Day and Pups in the Park are just around the corner. So please, enjoy this edition of our newsletter and get yourself up to speed on what’s going on at Australian Lions Hearing Dogs, and between editions, you can stay up to date through our social media and website. After all, it’s simply not possible without each and every one of you.
